Today we did a traverse of the Franconia Ridge starting at the Skookumchuck trailhead and finishing at Lincoln Woods. We sumitted Layfayeete, Lincoln, Liberty and Flume along they way.
Although it was only 34 degrees when we left Twin Mountain, it turned out to be a picture perfect day as we broke treeline - no cloulds, warm temps, and a very light wind. We did share the trail with a few hundred other folks due to the long weekend and great conditions, but we really enjoyed the trip and hiking with some wonderfull friends from VFTT. |
